Normally I wouldn’t feel like translating and pasting a translation of an article so soon after another post, but then this one is not only about Lee Hyori, who’s been sadly absent from here recently, but its already been done for me here, so I suppose I can divulge 10 more minutes of my precious time. After all, it looks like a PhD holder, no less, is taking my advice about learning languages, albeit English in this case, so the least I can do in return is present the fruits of his efforts here. I’ll even throw in an English title as a bonus, which was missing in the original.

Famous last words. While looking for pictures for today’s post (the original one in the article below isn’t her best), I came across this (update: link fixed), and, I’m sorry if this is a big shock to people, but it does put a pretty good case for Lee Hyori having had breast enlargement surgery three or four years ago. Now, I’m not a hypocrite, at least for the duration of this post, so I’m not going to deny that I do indeed like some curves on women, and on Lee Hyori and my wife in particular. Having said that, there is such a thing as too big…no, really…and I think Lee Hyori looked pretty damn fine before the surgery…Dare I say this next? Ahem…*cough*…I don’t think she needed it at all.

Blasphemy I know, so I wanted to copy and paste pictures from that link to prove it. Unfortunately, a recent trend on the Korean web appears to be making popular pictures of stars unavailable for copying and saving. Lest this sound trivial, remember that I know all too well that 90% of you are taking full advantage of the “Hot Korean Girls” Category on the right, but there’ll be a lot less of them at the rate things are going. And not only did it mean that, but for my ingenuity as I’ll explain, I couldn’t copy and post the evidence for my argument here, I also couldn’t put these recent ones up, and if a lack of those up here doesn’t convince you of the seriousness of the issue, then you’re sooo in the wrong blog.

So, I then spent the next 40 mins finding the right picture - I’m so glad I spent my evening so productively - but I did finally learn how to crop it and then paste into a blank picture on IrfanView, resulting in the masterpiece above, so it wasn’t a complete waste of time. And boy…do I rest my case or what?

‘애니모션’은 삼성애니콜이 CF와 뮤직비디오, 그리고 디지털싱글의 개념을 복합적으로 활용해 독립적인 엔터테인먼트상품으로서도 빅 히트를 기록한 캠페인. 이효리는 ‘애니모션’을 기점으로 광고계에서도 정상급 스타파워를 뽐내기 시작했다.

국내 최대의 방송광고 시상식을 지향하는 이번 행사에서 이효리는 자신의 광고히트작을 멋진 무대매너로 되살려 분위기를 달굴 예정. 김용만이 MC를 맡고 빅뱅, 이승기, 윤하 등도 축하공연을 펼친다. MBC에서는 이 행사를 135분동안 생방송한다. (9월 13일자 15면)

Television advertisement ‘Any Motion’ that had sexy star Lee Hyo Ri as the model, will come back to life at the advertisement festival.

To celebrate ‘The 1st Korea TVAD Festival’, Lee Hyo Ri will be performing on the stage at Aramnoori Aram Theater of Goyang, in Kyuggi-do on the 18th. On the stage, she will sing and dance the ‘Any Motion’ that was a great hit in the year 2005 with its peculiar form as a mixture of television advertisement and entertainment.

‘Any Motion’ is well-known as a campaign that Sam Sung Anycall managed to combine the concepts of CF, music video and digital single and successfully induced an independent product of an entertainment. It was through ‘Any Motion’ that Lee Hyo Ri actually became a top model in the field of TV commercials.

In this festival that will grow to be the largest awarding festival of television advertisements, Lee Hyo Ri will be showing her passionate performance. Kim Yong Man will be the MC for the festival, and many other singers such as Big Bang, Lee Seung Gi and Yoon Ha will be performing this day. Also, MBC will broadcast the festival live for 135 minutes on this day of the special event.
