Korean Booty and Democratization
Bet you don’t see that title very often.
This is an ad on Korean TV that has caught my eye a few minutes ago. It’s been on for about a month, and I present it for the strange few amongst you who still haven’t made it to Korea to see it yourself yet:

The girl is called 김태희/Kim Taehee, and PopSeoul, as always, has many more pics and videos of her here. (Update: Strangely, this video has become very popular in the Korean net; see here for a million longer and better quality versions)
Despite all I’ve said in the last few posts, I’m still amazed at what you can get on Korean TV now compared to when I first came here. Newbies simply have no idea: for many years, this “Ace Beds” ad was about as raunchy as it got, although who else but Lee Hyori could mangage to come up with that pose on the bed, in a supposedly innocent family-friendly commerical (or CF as they call them here).

It’s a little quick, so I’ll replace it with a longer version when I can find it (update: no sorry, all versions seem to be that long).
In the meantime, I put these up partially because in the future I’m going to explore a thought that came to me, that there is a possibility that Korean women showing more skin and slutting it up on camera is indicative of substantive (instead of just electoral) Korean democratization, just like it was (explicitly, the women said so themselves) for Spain in the 1980s. I’ll need a lot of data for this argument I suspect, and so, if you know what’s good for you, you’ll suspend your disbelief and give me some latitude with running with it.

I can’t explain it, but suddenly I really, really, really want to go to bed. :D
